APPARATUS FOR EXCHANGING ROLL GRINDER

PURPOSE: An apparatus for exchanging a roll grinder is provided which simply and promptly removes a heavy roll grinder and mounts a new roll grinder at a rolling stand where rolling is performed. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for exchanging a roll grinder comprises a truck(10) moving along rails(2) by means of wheels rotationally driven by a driving motor; a table(30) inserted into a circular groove formed on the upper part of the truck(10) and rotated by a driving motor(36); a frame(40) which is mounted onto the upper part of the table(30) by means of a plurality of cylinders so that the frame(40) is vertically ascended or descended, and a degree of inclination of the frame(40) is controlled; a clamp transfer stand(50) which is slidably inserted into the frame(40) in a length direction so that the clamp transfer stand(50) is moved back and forth by a cylinder; clamps(70) comprising a clamp part which is inserted into an inclined guide at both sides of the frame(40) so that the clamp part is moved along the inclined guide by a cylinder(82), wherein a width of the inclined guide is getting narrower as it goes from the rear part to the front part of the inclined guide; and a compression plate which is mounted on the clamp transfer stand(50) so that the compression plate is positioned at the upper part between the clamps(70), and which is ascended or descended by a cylinder(90).
