671,576. Sliver condensing means. CASABLANCAS HIGH DRAFT CO., Ltd. July 6, 1950 [Feb. 27, 1950], No. 4976/50. Class 120(i) Sliver condensing means for use in textile preparatory and spinning machines comprises two condensers 1, rigidly coupled together in spaced relationship on a bar 2, for co-operation, one with each of adjacent pairs of drawing members of the machine, and provided with gripping means for attachment to a driven traverse bar 4 of the machine, the arrangement being such that the said condensers can 'be mounted on the traverse bar each with its outlet end very close to the nip of the following pair of drawing members, the grip exerted on said traverse bar by said gripping means being sufficient to ensure that the condensers traverse with the traverse bar whilst at the same time permitting the condensers to slide along and relative to, the traverse bar if the occasion arises. As shown, the condensers 1, having a flat bottom la and side walls 1b which converge towards the outlet end 1c, are each provided with a groove 1d in the bottom to house the coupling bar 2 and spring gripping fingers 3, the condensers being fixed to the ban 2 by screws 5. |
