The housing has inclined guides (15) running inclined to the axial direction, seen in the radial plane. Several clamping elements (3) are movable along the inclined guides and have tension jaws (32) for clamping the workpiece. Several tension pistons (2) each associated with a clamping element tension the workpiece. The tension pistons are mounted in cylinder areas (20) fixed on the housing and can be biased through fluid supply channels (43, 44, 45) which run in part over the displacement operating device (4) to allow control fluid to be supplied to the cylinder areas either without pressure or with secondary or tension pressure. The displacement operating device has a slider (40) with fluid distributing channels. |
