A method for correcting errors and flaws e.g. craters in the original or as dust or other particles on the original surface, during digital image processing, in which a number of images of a master illustration (original) are generated in different spectral ranges (especially red, green and blue) together with an error image for correction of these images. Correction of an image on the basis of the error image follows in dependence of the spectral range of the image and/or of the error image.
