An optical lens material which not only sufficiently has properties required of an optical lens, such as impact resistance and dyeability, but has all of a high refractive index, a high Abbe's number, and a low specific gravity, and which can be produced also through photopolymerization. It is a lens made of a synthetic resin and is characterized by comprising a copolymer of a composition which comprises 20 to 80 wt.% bis-2-methacryloylthioethyl sulfide, represented by the following structural formula (1), 5 to 50 wt.% thiol having a functionality of 2 or higher, and 0 to 75 wt.% monomer(s) copolymerizable with these and preferably further contains 5 to 50 wt.% bifunctional (meth)acrylic compound, and by having a refractive index of 1.58 or higher, an Abbe's number of 35 or higher, and a specific gravity of 1.35 or lower.
