The invention relates to a method for controlling a fuel direct injection of a spark-ignited internal combustion engine that, at least occasionally, is operated in a homogeneous mode. Inside a cylinder, at least one piston is displaced up and down between an upper and a lower dead center. The movement of the piston is translated into a rotational movement of a crankshaft, and a fuel injection is executed with a predeterminable injection time during a piston downward movement of an induction cycle. The invention provides that the injection time (EZP) is controlled according to a temperature of the internal combustion engine.
