<p>The invention discloses a new kind of polypeptide - HOMO mitochondria translating initiation factor 8.8 and polynucleotide encoding said polypeptide and a process for producing said polypeptide by DNA recombinant methods. It also discloses the method of applying the polypeptide for the treatment of various kinds of diseases, such as the three major dysbolism disease relating to sugar and lipid and protein, antagonist and the therapeutic use of the polypeptide is also disclosed.
