The clasp, e.g. for a watch strap of leather or similar material, consists of two curved vanes (3,4) which are joined together at one end by a pivot (9). One of the vanes (4) is connected to one part (1) of the strap, and the two vanes join together by a clip (17) when closed. The free end of the second vane (3) is pivoted to a cover (19) which closes over the joint when the clasp is closed. The second part (2) of the strap is connected to the inside of the cover by a third pivot (18), while the clasp fastening clip is made from a projecting portion (8) of the second vane (3) and an L-shaped tongue (17) projecting from the first vane (4) to engage with the inside of the projecting portion (8). |
