The fixing end plate is provided by a flat metal stamping (17) which is doubled over and which has a slit for reception of the passenger seatbelt, provided with a rounded bearing surface for the seatbelt along the edge of the slit exerting the retaining force. The metal stamping has 2 fixing openings (13) and 2 slits (14) which are aligned when the stamping is bent through 180 degrees about a central bending axis (19), with a curved section on either side of the latter for forming the rounded bearing surface.
