AUTOMATIC CONNECTION METHOD OF VIDEO PHONE

PURPOSE: An automatic connection method of a video phone is provided to return to a speech state immediately in the event of negotiation failure in a training step for connection of video communication. CONSTITUTION: A video system is initiated according to a video key for video connection. Information including the maximum transmission speed, performance, standard and characteristics of a modem is transmitted and received between modems of transmitting and receiving sides according to the state of a line in a negotiation step. The state of the line is probed in a line probing step. The transmission speed is determined according to a connection speed in a training step. A mode is automatically converted into a speech mode when training fails in the training step.
