Method for estimating the failure rate of technical equipment components

The failure rate estimation method uses the number of components which have failed within a given time interval and which have had to be replaced or repaired for calculation of a component lifetime distribution function. The latter component lifetime distribution function or a cumulative lifetime distribution function (F(t)) is corrected by a condition function (G(t)), which is calculated continuously or at timed intervals.
