The present invention relates to a method for supplying alternative fuels into blast furnace, when producing pig iron, by spraying thereof into the blast furnace oxidation zone wherein the inventive method is characterized in that lignite coal tar is supplied as an alternative fuel into the blast furnace. Said lignite coal tar is sprayed into the blast furnace oxidation zone independently, preferably through oil nozzles and using compressed air.
