PURPOSE: A system for transmitting and receiving a password is provided to enhance security associated with the coding of the password by converting a plurality of information signals corresponding to inputted passwords into current signals through a resistance element array. CONSTITUTION: A password transmitting unit(1) has a transmission-side keypad(11) for inputting a password by a user, inputs four information signals(S1-S4) corresponding to the password from the transmission-side keypad(11) to certain points of a resistance element array composed in a transmission panel(14), and transmits current signals which flow in an output terminal of the resistance element array to a password receiving unit(2). The password receiving unit(2) has a receipt-side keypad(21) for inputting a password registered by a manager of a host device and has metal tips(M1-M4) corresponding to the resistance elements for receiving the current signals which flow in the output terminals of the resistance element array, generating 4 information data, and confirming whether the password corresponding to the generated four information data is identical to a password from the receipt-side keypad(21).
