PURPOSE: A cap concrete structure of a breakwater provided with an anti-wave overtopping retarding room is provided to intercept waves by making only cap concrete as the head of a breakwater higher without making a levee body of a breakwater higher and to have excellent wave-absolving efficiency. CONSTITUTION: As for installing the cap concrete(C) of a composite breakwater, the structure of the cap concrete(C) comprises the steps of erecting a front wall(1) on the front, forming many rows of horizontal semicircular retreated grooves(2) horizontally, boring many seawater through holes(3) horizontally on each horizontal semicircular retreated groove(2), forming a retarding basin(4) on the rear of the front wall(1), installing a cap concrete body(5) to the upper end of the front wall(1) and a ceiling part(6) continuously, laying the lower end of the front wall(1) and the lower end(5a) of the cap concrete body(5) in riprap(7) to be a levee body of a breakwater, filling up the lower part of the retarding basin(4) with riprap(7), and forming stairs(8) on the upper part of the cap concrete body(5) as the path of pedestrians.
