DEVICE FOR PREVENTING OIL AERATION OF 3-CYLINDER ENGINE BALANCE SHAFT

PURPOSE: A device for preventing oil aeration in 3-cylinder engine balance shaft is provided to reduce weight of an engine by removing a hosing through installing a circular cup and to decrease a producing cost. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing oil aeration of a 3-cylidner engine balance shaft comprises a slave gear(20) fixed on a front end of a balance shaft(10); a first balance weight(12) mounted on the balance shaft; a second balance weight(14) installed on the front end of the balance shaft; a front housing(30a) surrounding the front end of the balance shaft; a flange(18) integrally formed with a rear journal(11b) of the balance shaft; a third balance weight(16) arranged on a rear portion of the balance shaft; a circular cup(32) rotating with the balance shaft; and a bolt(60b) fixing the cup on the rear end of the balance shaft. Thereby, the device for preventing the oil aeration of the 3-cyldiner-engine balance shaft reduces weight of the engine by removing a housing through installing the circular cup.
