A method for automatically generating a transform using virtual fields. One or more virtual fields for a fist document are defined(710). One or more of the virtual fields are enabled so that the enabled virtual fields appear in the first document (720). One or more of the virtual fields are disabled so that the disabled virtual fields are disabled so that the disabled virtual fields do not appear in the fist document (730). Mapping rueles to map data from fields in the first document to fields in the second document are defined (740). A transform is then generated to convert the fist document into the second document (750). |
