The invention relates to a portable communications device, especially a mobile telephone or a multifunctional mobile telephone, comprising a housing (1) which has a numerical keypad area (12) for entering information such as especially, telephone numbers, and a screen (21) for reproducing information. The aim of the invention is to significantly improve the user-friendliness of the communications device or mobile telephone and especially, enable the mobile telephone to be used with one hand. To this end, the inventive device is characterised by a preferably ergonomically shaped handle section (2) and a head section (4) which has a screen (21). The keypad area (12) is located outside of the handle section (2), preferably in a transition area (3) between the handle section (2) and the head section (4). |
