PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic latent image developing toner, a method for manufacturing the toner, a method for forming images and a device for image formation, where the so-called polymerization toner has uniform electrification property and can sustain a proper electrification amount, the particles will not be pulverized and satisfactory images can be formed over a long time. SOLUTION: The electrostatic latent image developing toner is obtained by preparing resin particles through polymerization of a radical polymerizable monomer composition in a water-based medium in the presence of a water-soluble chain transfer agent and then salting out/melting the resin articles in a water-based medium.
