The receptor unit (2) mounted on the stand (1) is supported by an arm (5) connected to the height adjustable section (1b) of the stand. The inner end of the arm is provided with at least one bearing (6, 7) for allowing the arm to rotate relative to the height adjustable stand section about at least two angles (A, B) at right angles to each other. The outer end of the arm is provided with bearings (8, 9) for allowing the receptor unit to rotate relative to the arm about at least two angles (C, D) at right angles to each other. The receptor unit is mounted on a height adjustable stand section and can be moved in the length direction of this stand section. The receptor unit cooperates with a radiation source movable in the width and height direction of the table (20). The receptor unit can be swung out and upwards from a position for a vertical radiation beam beneath the tabletop (20a) to positions for horizontal and/or vertical radiation beams on either side of the table.
