PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-use tripod adapter which can easily adjust a horizontal attitude of a binocular. SOLUTION: The tripod adapter has an adapter main body which is attached to a tripod, a screw member which is inserted rotatably into a through hole formed in the adapter main body and of which the front-end is fastened to a center hinge of the binocular, and a friction-force generating member. The friction-force generating member, which is provided in the adapter main body, can hold the binocular in an arbitrary attitude against the adapter main body when the screw member is fastened to the center hinge and generate friction force to the extent the binocular can be rotated around the screw member when a predetermined external force is exerted on the binocular. |
