PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Y-branching optical waveguide which is stable in branching ratio. SOLUTION: In the Y-branching optical waveguide wherein a light propagating one optical waveguide 1 is branched into two directions by two branching waveguides 3 and 4, and the central lines of the optical waveguides from the branching parts to exit ends 9 and 11 of the branching waveguides 3 and 4 are respectively a sine curve, the central line of the input waveguide 1 is a sine curve. |
