PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the complicated and large-sized constitution is required in the case of recovering and recycling excess oil on a pressure roller. SOLUTION: The fixing apparatus is equipped with a means for adsorbing the excess oil on the pressure roller and a means for moving the oil adsorbing means, and the oil adsorbing means also functions as the guide part of a transfer member. Owing to this fixing apparatus, the constitution of the apparatus is made compact and inexpensive in the case of restoring the adsorbed oil to a fixing roller and recycling it.
