PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high sensitivity, high charge holding rate and excellent potential stability for repeated use and to provide a charge generating material to be used for the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The phthalocyanine composition is prepared by co-synthesizing phthalocyanine substituted with alkyl groups and unsubstituted phthalocyanine.
