PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoretic display device which is flexible and does not lose memory property of display even when it is deformed, and to provide a method of manufacturing the device by which a migration dispersion liquid is easily injected and sealed in a display section. SOLUTION: The electrophoretic display device is equipped with a flexible supporting body 20, a top plate 18 having flexibility and elasticity to stress and facing the supporting body 20 through barrier walls 15, and a migration dispersion liquid having migration particles 16 dispersed in an insulating liquid 17 in the section formed by these members 20, 15, 18. The method of manufacturing the device includes processes of forming the barrier walls 15 on the flexible supporting body 20, injecting the migration dispersion liquid having the migration particles 16 dispersed in the insulating liquid 17 into the section formed by the above members, applying a photosetting or thermosetting liquid incompatible with the liquid 17 by spraying or the like thereon and curing the liquid to form the top plate 18 to seal the whole body.
