PURPOSE: A computer system, including a dual power supply circuit, is provided to sense a state of opening a case, and to cut off a supply of a waiting power source if the computer case is opened for upgrading a hardware or checking a system in the case of an S3 power mode or S5 power mode so that it can prevent a system damage caused by a power short. CONSTITUTION: The dual power supply circuit(100) includes a dual power supplier(10), a dual power controller(20), and a case opening sensor(30). The dual power supplier(10), if a power state is in an S3 mode, generates a dual power with a level of a waiting power in response to the S3 signal, if a power state is in a normal mode, generates a dual power with a level of an operation power, and if a power state is in an S5 mode, e.g. a power is switched off in order to upgrade a hardware or open the case, cuts off the supply of the power. The dual power controller(20) selectively supplies a waiting power to the dual power supplier(10) according to an opening state of the case. The dual power controller(20) is connected to the case opening sensor(30) for detecting the opening state of the case. The case opening sensor(30) includes a photo register and a switching element for generating a case opening signal, a low or a high level signal, according to the sensing result.
