PURPOSE: A method of setting origin position of an actuator is provided to exactly control damping force of a damper according to the driving command of the actuator without bumping a control rod into a stopper at an arbitrary range. CONSTITUTION: In a method of setting origin position of an actuator, the actuator is driven clockwise(or counter clockwise) over the range(zero to ninety degrees) corresponding to the operating range of the actuator at the initial stage. The driven actuator is operated counter clockwise(or clockwise) over three steps. The position operated over three steps is set to the initial origin. The position from the set initial origin to the last step position of the actuator drive is set to the operating region of the actuator.
