PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active display device having satisfactory display quality. SOLUTION: The active display device is characterized in that it has a pixel electrode coming into contact with a drain electrode of a thin film transistor covered by a flattening film, the drain electrode is connected with a drain of the thin film transistor via a first contact hole, the pixel electrode is connected with the drain electrode via a second contact hole, the second contact hole is not superposed directly on the first contact hole and a semiconductor film of the thin film transistor contains boron in a concentration of 1×1015-1×1018 cm-3.
