PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which can form good electrophotographic images without image defects by maintaining good cleaning performance for a long period even when an organic photoreceptor is used and an image forming device. SOLUTION: This image forming method is characterized as follows the organic photoreceptor is an organic photoreceptor having a siloxane base resin as a protective layer; a cleaning device has a cleaning blade and a plastic member; this cleaning blade comes into tight contact with the plastic member on the surface in the side opposite to the surface abutting the organic photoreceptor; the front end of the cleaning blade and the front end of the plastic member are provided with a level difference; and this level difference is such a level difference that the plastic member exists in a position more distant from the organic photoreceptor.
