<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display apparatus having a high aperture ratio and capable of surely reducing the power consumption. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display apparatus where a wiring 3, a matrix shaped pixel electrode 6 band an element 4 for driving are formed on an element side substrate 1 and a counter electrode 8 is formed on a counter side substrate 2 and a rectangular notched part having a dimension larger than the width of the wiring is formed in the counter electrode 8 in the region overlapping the wiring 3, a side parallel to the wiring 3 among the sides which constitute the contour of the rectangular notched part is positioned in the inside region of the pixel electrode 6.</p> |
