PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound clock capable of eliminating uselessness of power by making a person be conscious of the present time by notifying him/her of the present time by sound at prescribed intervals when he/she is at a room and stopping time notification by sound when he/she is not in the room. SOLUTION: In the sound clock provided with a control circuit 8 for notifying the present time by sound from a speaker 3 by receiving a detection signal from a human body detecting sensor 6 for detecting the human body, the control circuit 8 makes the speaker 3 notify the present time at the prescribed intervals when the detection signal is inputted from the human body detecting sensor 6 and does not make the speaker 3 notify the present time when the detection signal is not inputted from the human body detecting sensor 6.
