PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for program generation for laser trimming which are free of a human miss even when the same memory core is used and does not have the necessary time for the generation affected by the experience, etc., of a program generator, a recording medium, and a laser trimming machine. SOLUTION: Fuse coordinate calculating programs are previously stored by memory cores in a coordinate calculating program database, and common parts of LT(laser trimming) programs are stored in a common program database. When an LT program is generated, a corresponding fuse coordinate calculating program is selected from the coordinate calculating program database and loaded by inputting shape information on a memory core. The fuse coordinate calculating program is corrected by inputting arrangement-in- IC-chip information and offset information to generate the fuse coordinate calculating program corresponding to an IC chip. The fuse coordinate calculating program is incorporated in a fixed-form program provided from the common program database to generate the LT program.
