<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinates input device capable of letting an operator know the replacement time of a cap-shaped translucent member for covering the light emitting element of an indicating tool without missing the due time. SOLUTION: This coordinates input device generates a light spot by emitting light from the light emitting element 41 provided in the indicating tool 4 to a coordinates input image 10 and generates a coordinates output signal corresponding to the position of the light spot on the image 10 by detecting the light spot with a coordinates detector. An attachable and detachable cap made of a translucent member, which covers the element 41 of the tool 4, is provided. The cap 46 is provided with recessed parts 47 that can notify the operator that the abrasion quantity of the cap becomes equal to or more than a fixed quantity, which is caused at the time when the cap 46 comes into contact with the image 10 when coordinates are inputted, a cavity part, a colored layer, and a conductive layer, etc.</p> |
