PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve picture quality of a display device using bottom-gate TFTs, especially to control variation in a current amount flowing through an EL element against changes in an environmental temperature when using the device, to control a variation of brightness of the display, and to compensate for a frequency characteristics of a driving circuit. SOLUTION: This display device is provided with a monitor use EL element in addition to pixel part EL elements, and a current is supplied to the pixel part EL elements via a temperature correction circuit comprised of this monitor use EL element, a buffer amplifier or the like. Thus, the current made to flow through the pixel part EL elements can be kept constant against temperature variations and the variation of the brightness can be controlled. Moreover, An input signal is time-expanded, to perform correct sampling. |
