PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the degree of degradation of the ion exchange resin of a condensate polisher with excellent accuracy before the temperature of cooling water of a condenser rises. SOLUTION: The condensate temperature is temporary adjusted to the summer time temperature by reducing the opening of an air inlet valve 24 of an air ejector of the condenser before the summer time starts. After the condensate temperature is adjusted, reactor water is sampled after the predetermined time is elapsed, and the concentration of impurities in the reactor water is measured.
