PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for testing a printed circuit board, capable of efficiently performing the quality test of the printed circuit board for a short time without requiring expert knowledge. SOLUTION: An interface board 2 is inserted in the connector 5 of a printed circuit board 4 to be tested to connect the printed circuit board 4 to a tester main body 1 and the connection content of the printed circuit board 4 is automatically alloted to be displayed on the tester main body 1 and test data such as the correction, alteration or addition of the connection content of the printed circuit board 4 are inputted from the displayed screen. Whereupon, the tester main body 1 reads a test circuit program from the network pattern of the printed circuit board 4 to form a test circuit and a test program matched with test data, and the test program is performed to test the printed circuit board 4. By this constitution, the quality test of the printed circuit board 4 can be efficiently performed for a short time without requiring expert knowledge.
