PURPOSE: An apparatus for feeding electrode in a servo gun is provided which enables smooth feeding of the electrode in a spot welding device mounted on a hand of a robot used in the automated welding process such as the body assembling process of automobiles. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for feeding an electrode in a servo gun in which an electrode tip is straightly reciprocated by a ball screw which is rotated by a servo motor in a servo gun for resistance welding, a linear guide nut which converts rotational motion of the ball screw into straight transferring motion and a piston rod connected to the linear guide nut, the apparatus for feeding an electrode in a servo gun comprises a ball screw(130) to which a pulley is connected so as to transmit rotational force of a servo motor, and which is fixed by a tapered rolling bearing(120) for accurate rotation so that the ball screw(130) is reversely rotated; a ball screw nut(140) which is engaged with the ball screw(130) so that rotational motion is converted into straight reciprocating motion; a pipe shaped transfer shaft(150) which is linked to the ball screw nut(140), to the front part of which an electrode tip(160) is fixed, and which is straightly reciprocated; and a pipe type linear motion guide(200) which is fixed to the front part of a protection box(310) by being concentrically circled with the ball screw(130) and the pipe shaped transfer shaft(150), and which supports the surroundings of the front side of the transfer shaft(150) so as to prevent rotation of the transfer shaft(150) and enable smooth straight movement of the transfer shaft(150).
