PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink staining preventing device capable of preventing the staining of the roller or peripheral equipment and the photoreceptor belt of a wet electrophotographic printing machine or the like by remaining ink. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a pair of ink cutout parts 50 and 50' at shaft parts 13a on both sides of a developing roller 13 symmetrically each other. A plurality of projections 51 and grooves 52 are spirally constituted in succession in the ink cutout parts 50 and 50', and the spiral direction is set so that ink in the spiral groove 52 flows to the control part of the roller 13 along the groove 52 when the roller 13 is rotated.
