CONSUMABLES UNIT AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a consumables unit which is adaptive to environmental problems and free of a decrease in image quality and other trouble and an image forming device which uses the unit. SOLUTION: A recognition label 44 is stuck on the top surface of consumables (developing unit lid 43 of toner hopper 25 of image forming unit 42 in this example) mounted detachably on a device body 1. On the recognition label 44, trademarked characters 'KAISHA' is printed as a logotype. A logotype read sensor 32 reads the logotype of the recognition label and informs a controller of whether or not the logotype is legal. The controller performs printing when the logotype is legal, but does not perform printing and reports that the consumables are illegal when not. The recognition label 44 is made of very thin paper having cuts at multiple positions and stuck with a strong adhesive. When toner is charged, the developing unit lid can not be opened without removing the recognition label. The unit is reproduced by charging pure toner, a legal recognition label is restuck.
