PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PCMCIA card housing having a movable door suitable for the various sizes and shapes of PCMCIA cards. SOLUTION: This PCMCIA card housing whose dimension is large enough to completely seat a PCMCIA card 48 inside is provided with a horizontally freely slidable door 47 arranged on the upper face of the card housing so as to be movable, and equipped with a means to be substantially horizontally moved when this door is opened on a plane which is substantially parallel with the horizontal axial line of the card housing, a terminal part means to be brought into contact and butted to an upward projecting part 46 of the card when the card is seated inside, and a means for tightly holding the card at a prescribed position. Also, this card housing is provided with a means for including the substantially whole horizontal part of the card inside and a means for preventing the upward projecting part 46 of the card from being extended to the longitudinal direction beyond a terminal part 3 of a computer 1 while only the upward projecting part 46 is exposed. |
