PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make plural kinds of types of parts common, to reduce process and equipment and to improve productivity in a control rod in a boiling water nuclear reactor provided with a substantially cross-shaped blade. SOLUTION: The control rod 2 is constituted as a coupling body of a first unit 1A and a second unit 1B by providing the first unit 1A in which a handle 5 is mounted on an upper part of a tie rod 4 and a lower supporting member 6 is mounted on an lower part and the second unit 1B in which an upper end plate 9U is mounted on an upper part of a sheath 10 including a reactivity control material and a lower end plate 9L is mounted on a lower part, fixing an upper part of the upper end plate 9U to the handle 5 and fixing a lower part of the lower end plate 9L to the lower supporting member 6.
