PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aspherical zoom lens and a video camera using the same constituted so that a diaphragm interval for inserting a diaphragm and a filter may be wide and having a camera shake correcting function. SOLUTION: This zoom lens is equipped with a 1st lens group (11) having positive refractive power, a 2nd lens group (12) having negative refractive power and possessing variable power action, a 3rd lens group (13) having positive refractive power, and a 4th lens group (14) moving on an optical axis so as to keep a varying image surface at a fixed position from a reference surface and having positive refractive power. The 3rd lens group (13) has the diaphragm (15) between two of four lenses, and the diaphragm (15) is arranged so that luminous flux converged by the lens on an object side may be made incident on the diaphragm (15). Thus, a mechanism for controlling transmittance can be assembled while maintaining compactness and high image quality, because the luminous flux diverged by the 2nd lens group (12) is slightly converged by the 1st positive lens of the 3rd lens group (13) and made incident on the diaphragm. |
