PURPOSE: Provided is an apparatus for purifying electrolyte used in electric gilding by filtering the electrolyte and neutralizing acid sludge produced by filtering the electrolyte, thereby readily disposing of the acid sludge. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises an electrolyte filtering part(10) in which sludge containing solution is separated from electrolyte supplied from an electrolyte bath in an electric gilding line and a sludge filtering part(11) in which acid sludge is separated from the sludge containing solution supplied from the electrolyte filtering part by making the acid sludge into a sludge cake. Also, the apparatus comprises an acid waste material treating part including a neutralizing chamber for neutralizing the acid sludge and a disposal chamber for discarding the neutralized sludge and a supplying device for transporting the sludge neutralized in the neutralizing chamber to the sludge filtering part in which the sludge is formed into a sludge cake. The acid waste material treating part is provided with a guiding device to supply the sludge cake formed in the sludge filtering part to the disposal chamber.
