PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time required for restoring a system after a system failure by reducing acquisition time of dumping information required for the cause analysis. SOLUTION: In a computer system utilizing virtual storage management, the use of contents of an auxiliary storage used for a paging device makes the dumping information obtained by the output of only a part of auxiliary storage contents at the time of system failure, and reduces the time required for restoration of the computer system and restart of business. In addition, the efficiency of computer resource can be improved, as any special external storage device is required for obtaining of dumping information. |
