PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the inputting method of a keyboard which has a small number of keys, in which inputting is easily performed and which has versatility and to provide the keyboard. SOLUTION: In these method and keyboard 10 for performing input to the keyboard 10 provided with a plurality of consonant keys with two types of consonants allocated thereto and a plurality of 1st and 2nd vowel keys with the same vowel allocated thereto respectively, when the 1st or 2nd vowel key is pressed down after a consonant key is pressed down, the types of the consonants are selected according to which vowel key is pressed down between the 1st and 2nd vowel keys, thus consonant and a vowel to be inputted is defined.
