PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave shieldable transparent film which is capable of lessening the intensity of the electromagnetic waves and IR rays released from an image display device and improving color purity without the occurrence of moire and the image display device using the film. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic wave shieldable transparent film is constituted by providing the one surface of a transparent base with an over-coating layer and bringing at least a pair of metal oxide layers and metal layers in this order into direct contact or proximity with or to the surface of the over- coating layer, thereby forming electromagnetic wave shielding layers. The thickness of the over-coating layer is 0.05 to 5% of the thickness of the transparent base and the metal oxide layers are formed by sputtering while controlling an oxygen quantity by a plasma emission monitor method. |
