PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that in a conventional circuit and method for driving a display object flickering of light of a scanning frequency is caused, so that the display quality is lowered and a burden is given to eyes of a user, and in the case of a display body using a switch like a transistor or the like for each pixel, deterioration is early caused by repetitive fatigue of the transistor or the like. SOLUTION: According to this invention, one pixel is provided with at least one pass-transistor and two tunnel diodes connected in series, and the display gradation is controlled by the potential of the connected point. In the pixel driving method, selection of a pass-transistor is not performed for a pixel which does not need to be changed in display.
