PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which has excellent operability when loading of a process cartridge and has a high flexibility in designing. SOLUTION: An intermediate plate 62 has two openings 64 and 64. In those openings 64 and 64, ribs 69 and 69 are arranged which turn on turning axes 69a and 69a as shown by an arrow C. When the 1st and 2nd auxiliary trays 68 and 70 are contracted (drawn in), they are stored right below the intermediate plate 62. In this case, the 1st auxiliary tray 68 comes into contact with the two ribs 69 and 69 to push them up. Consequently, the two ribs 69 and 69 project from the openings 64 and 64.
