PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning blade for a latent image carrier and an appara tus which secures excellent cleaning performance of the latent image carrier irrelevantly to use temperature environment without decreasing image quality, at low cost and an apparatus and a method for image formation which use spherical toner. SOLUTION: This is a cleaning blade for the latent image carrier which is pressed against the latent image carrier to remove remaining toner and formed of an elastic body having material values of 14,700 to 29,400 kPa in 300% modulus and >=68,600 N/m in tear strength, and the device and method for image formation use the cleaning blade.
