PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand an effective photographic area of a film and to record optical information between a photographable area of the film and its edge part. SOLUTION: This camera comprises a 1st storage part 14 which stores a cartridge, a 2nd storage part which is provided with a take-up shaft 16 taking up the film by pressing the film 1 by pressure rollers 10A to 10C, an opening which is provided between the 1st storage part 14 and 2nd storage part and exposes the film so that a frame aspect ratio is 9:16, guide rails 21 and 22 which are arranged between the 1st storage part 14 and 2nd storage part along the opening 19, a pressure plate 42 which is arranged on the other flank side opposite one flank side where the film 1 is exposed and has recording means 43 and 44 for recording on the film 1, and control parts 34 and 36 which detect a small hole 16 for position detection arranged nearby an edge of the film 1 and controls the feeding of the film 1 between the 1st and 2nd storage parts.
