PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute an electrophotographic image forming device capable of preventing image deterioration caused by peeling discharge or scattering or other phenomena at the time of transferring a toner image from a photoreceptor to an intermediate transfer belt, so that stable high image quality is obtained. SOLUTION: In this image forming device, the toner image formed on the photoreceptor is transferred to transfer material on the intermediate transfer belt or a transfer material carrying belt. The image forming device is provided with a belt constituting the intermediate transfer belt or the transfer material carrying belt by constituting it of material having transmitting property with respect to the light of wavelength to which the photoreceptor has sensitivity, and a contact transfer means for electrostatically transferring the toner image from the photoreceptor to the belt or the transfer material while coming into contact with the belt by constituting it of material having no light transmitting property, and then it is provided with a light irradiation means for radiating light from a downstream side in the belt rotating direction of the contact transfer means. |
